I’ve been waiting to open this bottle for about two years with no expectations of it blowing my mind but the odds of me trying/finding this grape.

This was yet another example of Italy doing it right. I know it sounds lately like I’m overselling Italian wines, but damn Italy, so many great varietals.

First of all the color was a beautiful amber for such a young wine and the nose was of mead and somewhat ripe pears.

This wine was definitely a great representation of the grape. Fragant, floral, citrus aroma, complemented well with a great acidity.

I haven’t had a wine with a nose that enamored me like this in a long time.

This wine behaved just like I’ve read about this DOCG. They are elegant, subtle yet crisp wines.

It’s one of those wines that even though it’s dry it can confuse people because of the presence of the fruit.

Every time I read this grape’s name I laugh a little on account of it sounding like a spanish word for the flu (catarro).
